Texas Commission Searching for Relatives of Richard E. Jacques
Richard E. Jacques, b. in Milwaukee 15 Sep 1918, son of John C. & Emmaline (McConnell) Jacques. He graduated from University of Chicago, was stationed at Foster Field in Victoria, TX when his AT-6 crashed during training flight 6 May 1942. (1920 census shows Jacques' siblings: Leslie, b. 19 Dec 1898; Natalie b. 1903; John Charles b. 29 Sep 1910.) On October 22, 2005, the Lavaca County Historical Commission will be hosting a conference in Texas that will honor Jacques and 12 other pilots who died in Lavaca County in service of our country during WWII.
