Share in the discovery of our roots as Margaret Sandoval (MCGS Recording Secretary 2006-2022, Mexican Fiesta genealogy coordinator) teaches library classes and conducts research in Humanities about her own early Hispanic Milwaukee family with Crypto-Jewish roots.
 
As of March 2023 the downtown Milwaukee Central Public Library Humanities Room is open Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Frank P. Zeidler Humanities Room is for art, humanities, and local history research only including genealogy.

Article Submission Deadlines
 
Do you have a genealogy research story to tell or research tips to share? How did you break through that brick wall? Do you have a suggestion for an article topic that you would like to know more about?
 
Our quarterly newsletter, the MCGS Reporter, not only goes out to our members, we also share it with other Genealogy Societies and Research Libraries in the U.S.
 
If you would like to submit an article to appear in the MCGS Reporter, please send it for review to the editor at editor@milwaukeegenealogy.org
 
The submission deadlines are:
February issue - January 1st
May issue - April 1st
August issue - July 1st
November issue - October 1st

Milwaukee Central Public Library - Meeting Room

The Milwaukee Central Public Library is currently open to the public.
 
After over 2 years of only online meetings, Friday afternoon MCGS monthly general meetings will now be held at Milwaukee Central Library 1st floor Rotary Club of Milwaukee Community Room and Online. The next meeting will be on Friday, April 28th at 1pm. 
 
Starting in September 2022, Saturday morning 9:30am MCGS genealogy classes will be held at Central Library and Online.
